This morning Year 6 were invited to Ripley St Thomas Academy where Jacqueline Wilson talked about her life as an author and her new book ‘The Magic Faraway Tree : A Christmas Adventure’.
It was an inspiring talk which will hopefully create a few more wonderful stories from our own authors.
Year 1 had a wonderful time at the Victorian Christmas experience at the Judges Lodgings in Lancaster. We helped the cook, made decorations, played some parlour games and even met Father Christmas!
Year 3 and 4 had a wonderful morning experiencing the opera at the Winter Gardens in Morecambe. Thanks to LMS, Opera Magic and the team in Morecambe for organising.

Year 6 had an amazing week at Hothersall Lodge on the annual week long residential.
They enjoyed climbing, sailing, zip-wiring, archery, team challenges and a day out walking at Malham Cove.
EYFS had a wonderful time in the Lakes on a steam train, in the Aquarium and on Lake Windermere.
Year 3 had a wonderful but very WET time on their residential to Hadrians Wall. We spent the first day at Housesteads and then stayed over at Birdoswald and spent the day there. We explored both forts, got enlisted into the army and had lots of time exploring Roman artefacts.
Year 2 had a fantastic time in Fleetwood. We walked along the sea front and had our lunch at the park. In the afternoon we went to the Victorian Seaside exhibition and Punch and Judy show at Fleetwood Museum. And best of all the sun was shining!
A group of children from the choir had the amazing experience of being involved in the Mothering Sunday service for Radio 4. The service is available until mid April on BBC Sounds.
What an amazing lot of costumes we had this year. We also got 2 shout outs on the BBC site!
Year 4 had a wonderful time developing their understanding of habitats at Leighton Moss on day 1 of their residential trip. Day 2 included lots of outdoor activities at Borwick Hall.
40 children from the school choir had a fantastic night at Young Voices 24. It was amazing!
The worship group did a wonderful job leading the whole school Christingle service in church this morning. They planned and led the whole service beautifully.
